How it works

This calculator estimates the compulsory HECS-HELP repayment from your repayment income, then adds optional voluntary repayments and a simple forward projection using the indexation rate you enter.

Examples

$90,000 repayment income: the compulsory repayment can be several thousand dollars per year depending on the current threshold table. Adding voluntary repayments can materially shorten the projected time to clear the balance.
